Mr Gum and the Biscuit Billionaire – Andy Stanton and David Tazzyman. Reviewed by Mango Bubbles Boy (8)

Polly is sitting on Boaster’s Hill, reading a book called ‘Cobbler wins the prizes’. Then a little biscuit comes along. He has electric muscles so he can walk around, and this gingerbread man is exactly 15.24 cm tall. This man has a biscuit tin, which is stuffed full of money!! Little Alan Taylor wants to make friends with Polly so he gives her some money and invites her to his party. Polly is too excited for words so she says some numbers instead “12, 93, 114”.

Mr Gum is getting ready to go out at 8:00 PM. He skateboards to Billy William the Third’s Right Royal Meats to get some grub. Mr Gum gets Billy to think of a plan. Alan Taylor now goes into BWIII RRM, and once he has gone Billy makes a plan!!!!!!!!!!! It takes 4 hours!!!!

Meanwhile Polly and Friday O’Leary meet at the bottom of Boaster’s Hill and walk up to Alan Taylor’s mansion, to find him waiting outside. At once the funfair starts up!!!! They all go on the ghost train and Friday gets a ghost’s email – Picklestheghost@notveryalive.com!!! Then they go on the Big Wheel and Alan Taylor goes to get hotdogs, and that is where evil is a-lurkin’!!!!!!

This book is absolutely amazing, I love it!!!!!
This is my absolute favourite series of books ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  1. I have read this book, and I would DEFINITELY recommend this book! I like all Andy Stanton books-they are really funny!!!!!!
P.S. Andy Stanton has amazing hair- it is really frizzy!!!! When Mango Bubbles and I met him at Muswell Hill childrens book shop , he signed my book and drew a banana in my book- If you find out that Andy Stanton is signing books near you, I would recommend going as he is very funny and kind. Also, you need to read one of his books.

    • I definitely agree with BannanaGirl with the bit about trying to see Andy Stanton, he is really funny (funty) and he has got really frizzy hair!! Yeah, if you try to go to see him, read one of his books first (he asks questions, like if you have read it), or at least get a book to get signed!!

      • I recommend this book it’s the best . 😍😘😍😘 it’s really funny I can’t describe it. It’s actually that good I can’t get over it at all πŸ€“πŸ€“πŸ€“πŸ€’. It cheers me up when I am sad
