Three wild cats, Jaypaw, Hollypaw and Lionpaw have just discovered that they are the most powerful cats throughout all the four wild cat clans: Shadowclan, Windclan, Riverclan and Thunderclan. These are four large groups of cats who live in one big area of land, which is split into four territories. Each cat clan lives in one of the territories.

Each clan has a leader (whose name ends in “-star”, e.g. Whitestar), several warriors (whose names can be nearly anything e.g. Brambleclaw, Fireheart etc.), a few apprentices (whose names always end with “-paw” e.g. Onepaw, Swiftpaw or Brightpaw) and some young kits (whose names end with “-kit” e.g Blossomkit, Toadkit or Briarkit.)

After a stranger comes and foretells of a great darkness that will affect all the clans which has not been predicted by Starclan (their spiritual ancestors), Windclan and Riverclan attack Thunderclan, our heroes’ clan. Jaypaw, Hollypaw and Lionpaw must fight for their clan as well as keep their powers a secret…..

A quick warning:this is the fourth book of the third series so you may want to start with the first book of the first series which is ‘Into The Wild’ which I hope to write a review on soon.

I think this is a gripping and exciting adventure story. It makes you wonder what you would do if you were the most powerful cat in the world. I enjoyed reading it and would recommend this book.
