Coraline – Neil Gaiman. Reviewed by Mango Bubbles Boy (9)

Coraline is just a normal girl, but when she moves into her new flat it all changes. . . (not her but her life!!)

When they start to move their stuff in, Coraline goes exploring the block of flats she meets Miss Spink and Miss Forcible, they invite her in so they can read her tea leaves. In those very leaves they see danger, terrible danger. . .

Coraline also finds a door, a quite small door in the drawing room of her own flat. . .

What is behind the door and what danger lurks in the dark shadows. . .

Warning – This book has been made into a film, so read the book first. If you’ve already seen the film, read the book NOW!! If you’re watching the film right now, STOP THE FILM AND READ THE BOOK RIGHT NOW!! The book is better than the film. Plus seeing the film after fills in the detail that you don’t get in the book.
