Astra is going to Nova Mundi with her Mum, Dad and Alf, her brother. Everybody arrives in the shuttle onto the big ship that will take them to Nova Mundi, everybody goes to their sleeping pods and goes to sleep. The people need to go to sleep for 190 years so they don’t get board on the long trip. Astra asks a robot called Pilbeam if there is any where to have something to eat before she goes to sleep, Pilbeam says there is a Nom-O-Tron 9000, Pilbeam took her to the Nom-O-Tron 9000, she says to the machine, that she wants the Ultimate cake, so Nom-O-Tron gives her the ultimate cake!!! BUT IT WAS ALIVE!!!!!!! It tried to eat Astra and Pilbeam…
I love this book, because it is by Philip Reeve & Sarah McIntyre, I love the blue cake on the front cover and the big ship on page 4-5!!!!
