The Hen Who Dreamed She Could Fly – Sun-Mi Hwang. Reviewed by Mango Bubbles Boy (9)

Sprout was a Normal, egg laying hen, in a coop on a farm, with an abnormal wish. She wished she could get out of the coop, and lay an egg, incubate it, and for it to hatch.

But one day the farmer’s wife, said that Sprout would soon die, so she took up all the dead hens and carted her off to a hole full of dead hens, and left them there. What she didn’t know was that Sprout was still alive.

Sprout heard a voice telling her to come with it, she turned round, but all she saw were two eyes glaring at her, eyes of a hungry Weasel!!!

She decided to go with the voice, so she ran. As she ran, the voice’s body came into view, it was a Mallard!!

This is the start of Sprout’s adventure, filled with danger, discovery and delight!

I absolutely loved this book, second favourite so far of 2015!
