I really enjoyed Mr Gum and the dancing bear by Andy Stanton. Its about a nine-year-old girl called Polly. The story starts on one calm autumn day, she finds a sad bear which she called Paddington. Mr Gum and billy william the third kidnap paddington and take him to a horrible place where he was forced to dance in front of a bunch of evil sailors so Mr Gum could get money.

Polly manages to get him back…but has to work for crazy Captain Brazil that works on the ship they are on.  Jonathan ripples saves the two while doing his tour of food around the world and takes them to the kingdom of beasts… the ending is great and the whole book was hilarious and really well written.

I could recommend this book for anyone!!!!!!!!
