Bob’s house is in the midst of a hurricane. He was thrust out of a broken window, violently. The young boy landed in a goopy tree, staring up at a dirty, mud sky. He saw a big tank, rolling towards him. A weird monster with sagging cheeks lumbered out of the scrap metal machine. Before he saw the tank, a hamster in a toga ran up to him. Now back to the saggy-cheek thing. The monster said that he was from the monster army, and that the human boy was under arrest. Verity (the giant hamster) kicked Killgrotty (the army man) in the face, and they ran…
Bob, Verity, Zola and Alfie are on a quest to retrieve the Star Jewel! Will they succeed? I have no idea, you’ll have to read the book!
I loved this book, because it was really funny, and it was well written. I love the illustrations also, Jim Field and Steve Cole did a great job 🙂
Steve Cole will be at the ChipLitFest in April. So will I! And I’ll be interviewing him. 😉
