The Many Worlds of Albie Bright – Christopher Edge. Reviewed by Mango Bubbles Boy (10)

Albie Bright’s mother dies of cancer.

And as you would expect, he is sad.

His Father is a famous TV scientist, and his mother worked at CERN, in Switzerland, which is home to the large hadron collider.

One day, Albie’s dad tell him about quantum physics. ‘”Atoms and particles can behave in rather strange ways,” he began. “There’s a famous experiment called the double-slit experiment where scientists fire a single atom at two tiny holes in a wall.” Grabbing hold of a piece of paper and a pen, Dad began to sketch out a diagram to explain.’WIN_20160521_121738 (2)

Albie then uses the knowledge of parallel universes, to invent the quantum banana theory, which consists of getting a cardboard box, putting his mum’s old quantum computer, a Geiger counter and a banana inside it, then getting in. When an atom in the banana decays, the Geiger counter will click, and Albie will be sent to a parallel universe!

I love this book, soooooooooooooo much! The ending makes me cry every time I read the last paragraph… What’s that… No, I will not tell you the ending… I said NO… *sigh* Spoilers.
