This book is about a young orphan girl known as Laura Marlin, her husky Skye and her best friend Tariq. Laura wins a raffle and the prize is a holiday to the Caribbean. Her uncle, Tariq, Skye and Laura shoot off to the Caribbean but suddenly her uncle goes missing on the ferry.

Laura, Tariq and Skye have to hunt everywhere for clues to where Calvin Redfern (Laura’s uncle) is. The two children and the husky are up against the Straight A’s gang – a famous gang that Laura and her uncle have been with before in Lauren St Johns other books.

My favourite part is when Laura finally finds her uncle and has to try and save him because it is an exciting part of the story where two children and their dog are up against some of the worlds greatest criminals of all time.
