It’s the beginning of a new school year, and The Deals’ new house is having a makeover! Daddy needs to take a short-term job in Germany to pay for all the work, but as the builders start their work, they uncover more serious problems with the house, they will need to re-build the brick-work around Front Door, there is damp and mould under the wallpaper, and that is all before they even start the main building work! What’s more, it needs to be done before Christmas. The building will start in November, but it’s going to be a tough job.

Chloe and Daisy Deal are in the school play, this year’s play is Aladdin. Chloe auditioned for Jasmine and the Grand Vizier. She got the Vizier. Daisy got a guard. Daisy was a bit disappointed. Imogen (Chloe’s arch enemy) got Jasmine, and Thomas (who Chloe likes) got Aladdin. Imogen even gets a stage-kiss with Thomas!!

William D also is in a play, but this is his school’s nativity. But he is a camel.

This is such a good book!!!! It has everything you want in a book, suspense, sadness, happiness!
