This awesomeful book is a collection of winter tales by renowned
authors, such as Piers Torday and Emma Carroll. Each story takes the reader
to a unique magical world of wonder, from snow dragons to musty, old
gingerbread!
My favourite tale was ‘Someone Like The Snow Queen’ by Berlie Doherty.
It is about a girl called Orla and her little brother, Flynn. After leaving Flynn
by the house, Orla goes shopping. When she comes back, Orla discovers
that Flynn is gone. Believing that Flynn has been taken by the ghastly Snow
Queen, Orla goes on a hunt to find her little brother, and learns an
important lesson…
I recommend Winter Magic to eager readers of 7 and over.
