The Girl Who Saved Christmas – Matt Haig and Chris Mould. Reviewed by Mango Bubbles Boy (11)

After Amelia Wishart’s mother dies, she is taken to Mr Creeper’s workhouse. After many attempts to escape, Amelia is locked in the dungeon. Eventually she starts to give up hope, of ever escaping the workhouse.

Meanwhile in Elfhelm, Father Christmas and the Elves are having their own problems – the Trolls are attacking the town, and there is nothing they can do about it. Just before the Trolls leave, they smash Father Christmas’s sleigh, thus ruining Christmas. Amelia is also giving up hope in Father Christmas.

The next year isn’t the same. The Elves have done a great job of fixing Father Christmas’s sleigh, so F.C sets off on his travels. He comes to London, and the Barometer of Hope is practically empty. Suddenly, the sleigh crashes into Buckingham Palace!!!!!!

This is by far the BEST Christmas books there is!!!! (No offence other people who have written Christmas books).
