I have recently started reading the Slated series, written by Teri Terry. It’s about the year 3036 and the United Kingdom is under the power of Lourders who kidnap and “keep the place safe” but really don’t.

They invented Slating for young criminals or children who have suffered terrible events, and it wipes their memory and gives them a levo to check their violence levels- if they get anything below 2.99 they will black out.

However, Kyla’s’-her given name is Lucy Conour- Slating fails and this causes memories to leak back and unexpected visitors to appear back in her confused twisted life.

This is why I love these books, they have a unexpected plot with complex character’s and dangerous consequence’s with everything Kyla does.
