Before you consider reading “Who Could That Be at This Hour?”, ask yourself these questions:

1. Are you curious about what is happening in a seaside town that is no longer by the sea?
2. Do you want to know more about a stolen item that wasn’t stolen at all?
3. Do you think that’s any of your business? Why? What kind of person are you? Really?
4. Who is that standing behind you?

“Who Could That Be at This Hour?” is about a boy who has had an unusual education from a secret organisation and is on his first assignment with his chaperone. They have to go to a desolate place called Stain’d-by-the-Sea, but the empty streets and Clusterous Forrest are just the start of the mysterious goings on in the town.

This is one of the most clever, mysterious and funny books that I have ever read. It keeps you guessing the whole way through and makes you ask both the right and wrong questions all of the way to the end. The characters are very interesting and their backgrounds are mysterious too. Overall, a brilliant read which I would recommend to anyone who likes any sort of mystery.
