Murder Most Unladylike – Robin Stevens. Reviewed by xox_watermelon_xox (10)

Daisy and Hazel are best friends at Deepdean boarding school for girls. It is set in 1934 where the girls dream of being detectives. They set up a secret detective society and long to fulfil a proper case.

A handsome new music teacher arrives at the school. His name is Mr Reid. Upon his arrival there is chaos amongst the other teachers as they all find him deeply attractive. A murder is committed that only the girls are aware of.
There is banter among the girls as the tension rises.

This book gives you a range of mixed emotions including sympathy, hatred and excitement. The mystery of it is fantastic – who do you trust? who do you think committed the crime?

I would recommend this book to children ages 10-14.
