The Painted Dragon – Katherine Woodfine. Reviewed by Banana Girl (12)

The year is 1909, and the famous department store ‘Sinclair’s’ in London has something new to offer– an art exhibition, organised by the highly respected Mr Randolph Lyle. It promises to be a glorious spectacle.

Yet in a strange and unexpected turn of events, the main attraction, the last known surviving painting of a mysterious collection, The Green Dragon, goes missing. It is up to young detective and store worker in Sinclair’s, Sophie Taylor, and her best friend Lil, a rising star in acting, to solve the case, along with their friends.

A deeply intriguing story, featuring both old and new faces, making it the perfect read for those who have read the previous books, and for those who are new to the series. I would highly recommend this to others around my age!
