Anne of Green Gables – LM Montgomery, illustrated by MA and WAJ Claus. Reviewed by Magic girl (13)

Anne Shirley is an orphan girl who has a mind full of imagination. She gets adopted by the Cuthberts and starts to live in their house, Green Gables. There, she meets Mrs Lynde, befriends Diana Barry, and even has an arch enemy – Gilbert Blythe. Anne’s life at Green Gables becomes happiness and disaster, entwined together.

What will the next adventure be?

This book is a classic and the most famous book in the series. I like it because Anne’s life is never boring, so you’ll never know what the next page will hold. It is funny and sometimes sad.

I recommend it to older kids because of the grammar. The one thing I don’t like is it has too much details.
